With the battery attached, this weighs a bit over six pounds, 6.53 to be exact.
Dell has been working hard to make a great impression in the corporate world and the Dell XPS Studio 16 is a successful turnout. This is a very high quality, stylish and trendy portable notebook. There are nice touches to this, such as brushed aluminum accents and a bit of leather on the notebook’s lid. The construction of this notebook is excellent and it has a nice profile, a drop hinge and a slot loading optical drive, all features and functions to make it as user friendly and stylish as possible. The media buttons are touch sensitive and user do seem to enjoy that. One element that notebooks users do not like is flex and the Dell XPS Studio 16 has practically none.
If you are planning on upgrading your RAM, you should be aware that you will need to remove ten screws from the bottom of the notebook; not that this should deter you, but just something to keep in mind. The keyboard is comfortable to use, is firm and to is full size, which many notebook users like. There are larger large speakers on each side. It also has a nice backlight that many find to be very useful. All in all, a powerful notebook that seems to have the features that many are looking for.
